Top Prospect is a social recruiting site that rewards people who help their friends find jobs. The best introduction to a company is through a trusted referral, which is why every great hire starts with a recommendation. Top Prospect broadens the reach of employers and job seekers by making the recommendation process transparent and accessible. We help you find your talented friends great jobs and get the recognition and rewards you deserve.
Top Prospect is all about finding your friends great jobs. Connecting to LinkedIn/Facebook makes it easy to find your friends and recommend them for different positions. Our system uses the work history from your social network to suggest potential good fits for each job posted.
Your connections are the people in your professional network. Initially, when you sign up, your connections are made up of your Facebook friends. You also can connect with people by inviting them to Top Prospect or searching for them if they're already on the site. It's a one-way connection so you don't need the other person’s permission to connect.
We'll send an email to your friend letting them know you've recommended them. When your friend lets us know that they're interested, they will be able to submit a resume. We rank all the interested prospects and submit the Top Prospect list to the employer. If your friend is successfully hired, you will be rewarded for your help and trusted recommendation with a referral bonus.
We want to make sure every recommendation is for someone who would be a good fit for the job and who would be open to the opportunity. We're starting with three recommendations per job, but may give you more opportunities to recommend people in the future.
We need to let your friends know you've recommended them. In the future, we'll have other ways to message users, but for now, we're going with good ol' email.
There is no limit to the number of recommendations one person can receive. Each recommendation gives the employer more information about the prospect and makes them a more attractive candidate. Keep the recommendations coming!
We set out to make the referral process more accessible and efficient, and to do so, we use machine learning to suggest potential job matches for your friends. We incorporate work history, education, ratings and tags. The more information you add to your network, the smarter our recommendation engine will become.
We get a lot submissions for each job, and some employers only look at the top 10 or 20 prospects for a given role. Prospects are ranked based on several inputs including number of recommendations, ratings and tags, work experience, education and skills. Don't give up though, there are tons of sweet jobs on Top Prospect. Tag your friends with skills and rate them as "great" to increase their chances of finding an amazing job.
We keep an eye on whether or not your recommendations make sense given the role and get feedback on recommendations from our employers. The better the quality your recommendations are, the more weight they hold for employers. If we start to see abuse or spam from someone, we'll limit that user’s access.
You can tag your friends with skills to help improve their profiles. Tags provide valuable information and help us suggest jobs that best fit your friends' skills. Think of a tag as a skill or an expertise (e.g. Dave knows Ruby, Heather is great at sales, Mike weaves a mean basket). Help us help you help your friends... tag someone!
Companies pay a referral bonus if they hire someone through Top Prospect. We take a small piece (gotta keep the lights on) and share the majority with the people who referred the Prospect.

Click on Send Invites on the top right of the dashboard page. You'll be able to invite your friends through email, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter!
