Addepar is looking for star engineers to join our team. As time goes on, the hires we're making now are going to be put in charge of bigger teams and projects, and will have a large impact on the direction of our software platform.
The company is run by Joe Lonsdale, one of the co-founders of Palantir Technologies, and we interact Regularly with major Silicon Valley investors and executives, including the team of respected venture capitalists that support us.
What we do
At a basic level, we help wealth managers manage their client portfolios. Going deeper, we help managers to simply represent and analyze complex financial situations. Our software will change the way financial advisors and family offices interact with clients, manage risk, and allocate portfolios. We are poised to transform the financial industry and create a new standard for fund transparency and portfolio analysis.
At Addepar, we tend to view ourselves as the "good guys" in this space. We're seeking to disintermediate those companies and industries that profit from an unfair a-symmetrical information advantage. We're constantly looking for ways to improve how risk is evaluated, capital allocated and fraud eliminated.

Our CEO, Joe Lonsdale, is a founder of Palantir Technologies, which is known for revolutionizing technology in other key areas of the world's of international defense and finance communities. In his early twenties, Joe helped to build a multi-billion dollar hedge fund, where he was one of the top traders. Our technical team is led by CTO Jason Mirra, and is composed of computer scientists from Stanford, Berkeley, MIT, and Carnegie Mellon. Addepar is supported and advised by a group of international billionaires, and some of the most respected Silicon Valley venture capitalists.
Our problem
Despite have a ton of enthusiasm and commitments from our future customers, we are very short on engineers. We built our company on the philosophy that a good engineer is exponentially more valuable than an average one, in this regard we feel it is advantageous to wait for the best possible applicants. Our CTO is possibly the best java programmer out there, but we're short staffed to meet our internal deadlines.
